O’Wise Witch

A scream tore from her throat,
Thrashing and turning
Begging for an escape,
Sobs racking her frail body,
How she wished she never knew,
Never knew about the raging inferno inside her body
The seething storm brewing on the brink of the horizon,
Tied and suppressed.
Burnt by her own fire,
Devoured by the blazing flames
Of their insecurity
And her weakness
Yet they bent at her will
Resurrecting her from the ashes
Worshipping and calling,
“Let us rise O’Great One”
“Let us cripple who wounded you, O’Beloved”
“Let us invigorate you, O’Chosen One”
“Let us climb again, O’Wise Witch”
“Let us laugh again”
“Let us strength you”
“Set us free and rise”
“Rise from the ashes of crumbled empires”
“And, rise from the bones of the cherished, O’Master.”
